There is a new social media exercise called the 12 3 30. But was it the 12 3 30 walking program? It's a program that the only equipment you need is a treadmill and some comfy shoes. It consists of placing the treadmill at a 12% incline, using level 3 speed on device and walking on the treadmill for 30min. Social Media influencers and reporting losing upwards of 30lbs in a matter of few weeks along with pairing that with a balanced diet.
Benefits of this exercise include that it increases lower-body power, it raises cardiovascular health, it consumes fat, it makes bones stronger, it enhances equilibrium, and it increases endurance. Walking, even at a rapid pace, is an activity that is safe for most individuals to do without any issue or anxiety. Any exercise we do has an element of risk, but walking, even at a fast pace, is an activity that most people can do without much trouble or concern. Doing this steep uphill walk on a treadmill is also a lot safer than doing it outside on uneven ground, where you risk tripping.
What effect does 12 3 30 have on your body? The 12 3 30 treadmill workout is an effective aerobic routine that raises your heart rate, increases strength and endurance.
How often should you do 12/3 30 per week? The US Department of Health and Human Services recommends 30 minutes of moderate-intensity cardio five days a week, but more can provide greater benefits. But you can safely perform the 12 3 30 2-3 times a week and potentially are it with some strength training. I have done some exercise programs that were 5-6 times and alternated strength training and cardio/aerobic training with good benefits in strength and endurance.
